St Andrews, Old Cleeve

st_andrews_old_cleeveSt Andrews is a very beautiful medieval church set to the north east of the village of Old Cleeve, with Bilbrook nearby down the lane, and in the other direction Chapel Cleeve, Cleeve park and the east side of Blue Anchor all within a mile or so. The village is home to a great community and despite appearances there’s a lot going on both in the Church (and also at it’s lovely Church Room by the Lych Gate) and at the Lysaght Club and Community Hall. Most months on the first Thursday there is a Soup Lunch in the Church Room at 12.30PM, operating on a donations basis. The Dragon House Hotel, The Blue Anchor Hotel and The Smugglers Inn are all nearby

We have a children’s corner in the main church and sometimes we offer a Sunday School in the Church Room during services (see Diary & Services page for details). The church can be accessed on one level and we have a ramp available for wheelchairs to get into the church and there is a hearing loop. Gluten free wafers are available in services (please let somebody know beforehand if possible). The tradition is broad at St Andrew’s with room for a variety of Christian traditions, which we try to reflect in our worship.
